I think Halo Wars laid a solid foundation for how RTSs need to be made for the 360. However, only PC elitists will bash Halo Wars for that, since any level-headed person would understand you simply can't have an RTS like that on the 360. Why these scrubs think uber units will bring them victory over experienced players, is quite puzzling.Ĭlick to expand.Well obviously Halo Wars doesn't have the complexities of say, Company of Heroes (WWII pc RTS for the uninformed 360 gamers). Again, WTF?Īll I can really say is, thanks for the easy points!!!! The only way to win in Halo Wars is to build a variety of units, with a majority suited to countering what the opponnent is going to attack with. Can I get an LOL? On the 2v2 flood map, one human opponnent built 8 vultures while his buddy only built grizzleys. On a match we played tonight on Terminal Moraine, the covie opponnent build 6 scarabs and his teammate only built hawks. I mean in the last 2 days, in every 2v2 game we played, we see at least 3-4 enemy scarabs. Whether its gang-banging the scarabs and the other opponent, or letting the scarabs attack our bases while we wreck their buddy's units and bases, meanwhile building new bases as we tear-ass across the map, it always ends in a victory for us. I actually feel bad for these idiots, because my buddy and I ALWAYS beat them. Usually one opponnent will only build scarabs/vultures (depends on whether they are human or covie obviously) and their teammate will build whatever unique human uber unit that comes with their leader.

Seriously, I have over 100 hours played online in Halo Wars, and it took until being close to the Brigider rank to start seeing 2v2 opponnents strictly building these uber units.
